Wowza – what an epic session. It would be incredibly hard to pick a favorite, but the direct flash photos were killer. These two are just as beautiful inside as they are out. They collaborated with Alyssa to bring their vision to life – a classy shoot that embodied their candid and free spirit. Who would have known that the shoot was right smack in the heart of Allentown during blue hour on top of the parking deck? Sometimes, the most basic places serve as the perfect backdrop. The wind was blowing, the laughter was flowing and these two beauts were crushing it.

Let’s back up a bit and share how they met. Through friends, happenstance, and the Mummers parade, these two started what they didn’t know at the time would be their forever. They just clicked and both of them are HUGE on family. They very quickly met both sides and joined together. Sometimes the shoe just fits! We can’t wait to see how their family surrounds them on their special day and comes together.

Trend spotlight: Direct flash photos

Okay back to this epic session. Direct flash photos have hit the internet like crazy, and we aren’t upset about it. To wrap up our session, we walked down the block and found ourselves at a fancy bar. Direct flash was the perfect choice. As Alyssa cried tears of happiness behind the camera (from their perfection), Josh and Emilee were just laughing and spending time together as if they were on a hot date.

Our goal for engagement sessions is to just be in the background and capture you as you truly are. We may encourage you to do something again that looked cute, but our main goal is to just capture you effortlessly in your own skin. There’s something extra beautiful about letting go, laughing freely and simply spending time with your best friend. Emilee and Josh, thank you for letting loose and inviting me into the fun. We know that the wedding will be just as epic too!
