Hey, lovebirds! Today, we’re diving into the heart of Lancaster, PA, where the landscape transforms into something straight out of a coastal dream—minus the salty breeze. Shannen and Ryan recently whisked us away to the stunning White Cliffs of Conoy for their engagement session. The kicker is that it wasn’t a beach at all. The white sand and dust is from limestone – how cool is that?! There’s something undeniably captivating about this hidden gem in Lancaster, PA. We are just a tad obsessed with how foreign this location looks, yet it’s right in the heart of Lancaster.
From the get-go, it was clear these two were up for anything. They were comfortable with each other and kinda just acted as if they were on their own date. The key to a killer engagement session is location, connection, and vulnerability. If you are willing ot try something a little out of the ordinary, chances are that you will get some pretty neat shoots and your photographer will be thanking you for it. Keep your options open and be willing to try things that might not come natural to you. Plus, it’s oaky to act a litte goofy with the person that you love.
The weather was PERFECT for this session. Cloud cover provides the perfect soft lighting and guarantees that the shots will all have similar tones and hues. All photogs love golden hour, but we really love ourselves a cloudy day. This Lancaster engagement session was stunning and they lucked out with this cloud cover too. Shannen and Ryan, thank you for inviting us into your love story. Next up – the Wedding!
