Sometimes it’s those very moments of uncertainty that gift us with the most unforgettable memories. Travis and Ashley, against all odds decided to stick with our original date. It turned out to be perfect – celebrating their anniversary amidst the rain and sunflowers.

The clouds, heavy with rain, created a cast across the landscape, that perfectly complemented the couple’s vintage and moody style. As drops of rain fell gently around us, it felt as though we had stepped into a classic romance movie scene—one that you could watch on repeat. With minimal direction, I encouraged Travis and Ashley to focus solely on each other, allowing their genuine connection and playful personalities to shine through.

Rain and love

We started the session on their picturesque property, with wildflowers in every corner. As we ventured further, we stumbled upon a sunflower field, where the contrast between the bright blooms and the ominous sky was nothing short of breathtaking. Ashley, radiant in a short-sleeved dress adorned with intricate details, held a bouquet bursting with hues of every shade. Travis was wearing a tweed suit accented by a vintage pocket watch, and exuded timeless charm and sophistication.

Travis and Ashley danced together, their laughter mingling with the sound of raindrops on the roof. And when the time came to seek refuge from the downpour, the back seat of the car provided the perfect sanctuary for quiet moments together.

As the session came to a close, Ashley and Travis walked along the sunflower field together. For Travis and Ashley, this rainy anniversary session wasn’t just about capturing photographs; it was about embracing the imperfections and cherishing their love.
