Anthony and Ibis are the type of couple that are best friends first, and being husband and wife is really just an added bonus. The chemistry, romance and just pure joy these two have together is so contagious. So they actually never got to have a big wedding, and honestly not sure it’s really what they wanted. They decided to get married during the pandemic at their apartment complex in the community lounge. However, they never got to experience getting professional photos or professional makeup, so they got connected with us and we threw a vow renewal ceremony for them.

Now you might be thinking… didn’t they just get married? Why renew their vows so soon? Well, like any other couple, years don’t have to go by in a marriage for you to go through something together that completely changes who you are and what you two mean to each other.

A Vow Renewal to Celebrate their Miracle

And that is exactly what happened to Anthony and Ibis. When they first got married marriage was wonderful, they we’re both growing closer to God and even closer together. They decided to take the next step and began growing their little family. Ibis found out the exciting news that she was pregnant! Pregnancy was joyful for the most part. They watched their baby grow and experienced this miracle of life. Fast forward to December of 2022, their son was born. What they hoped would be a joyful and normal experience of child birth, was not at all what they expected.

It was in that moment that Anthony and Ibis became closer to each other and closer to God in a way they never knew they could. Long story short, their baby boy was and is a miracle to this day. He came into this world and was the missing piece in their lives. So much has changed from the experience of their son being born and so recommitting their marriage vows to one another felt so right. They have so much to be thankful for. As a homage to where they first got married in their apartment, they renewed their vows in the same building and took photos all around center city Allentown.
