Some couples just radiate joy, and these two are exactly that. From our very first call, their bubbly personalities and effortless chemistry made it clear that photographing their story was going to be a total delight.
Since they’ll be getting married at the stunning John Harris-Simon Cameron Mansion, Historic King’s Mansion, it only made sense to capture their cinematic engagement session there too. Between the elegant architecture, timeless charm, and those gorgeous gardens, it is the perfect backdrop for the classic yet playful vibe they love.
Their story actually goes way back. Both grew up in Mount Joy, Pennsylvania, ran track and field, and even went to the same school. They knew of each other, but it wasn’t until after high school when he came home from college for fall break that they really clicked. What started as catching up quickly turned into something that felt meant to be.
Their first date was sweet and simple. A crepe restaurant followed by a walk where conversation flowed effortlessly. Neither can remember who said “I love you” first, but they both describe it as one of those rare, mutual aha moments when you just know.
Long distance was a big part of their early relationship, but they made it work, flying back and forth to see each other whenever they could. One of their favorite adventures took them to Colorado, where she was working for the summer. They hiked, explored mountain towns, and he even got to meet her grandfather, a true mountain man, with whom he immediately clicked.
What makes these two truly special is how naturally their lives and families blend together. Everyone fits, everyone connects, and it already feels like one big family.
Their engagement session at the mansion was just like them, playful, full of laughter, and completely authentic. From wandering through the gardens to sneaking moments of quiet connection, it felt like we were capturing their story in motion.
When they return for their wedding day, it will feel like stepping back into a place where their story has already begun, full of joy, love, and cinematic moments that will last a lifetime.
