We recently had the pleasure of photographing Anna and Eric’s engagement session at the enchanting Hotel Bethlehem. As a wedding photographer who loves pushing creative boundaries, this nighttime shoot was a dream come true, showcasing the magic of direct flash photography that’s currently stealing the spotlight in the wedding scene.
Nestled in the heart of historic Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, Hotel Bethlehem provided the perfect setting for Anna and Eric’s engagement session. Its timeless charm and classic architecture helped to set the stage for the evening. Anna and Eric were stoked to go outside and break open a bottle of champagne. Direct flash combined with a champagne pop screams fun and spontaneity.
Direct flash photography has become a sought-after trend among couples who crave bold and vibrant images. Anna and Eric embraced the trend wholeheartedly, and the results were nothing short of spectacular. We love to bring our couples vision to life, especially if its something that’s a little out of the ordinary. If it’s something that will push us a little out of our comfort zone, the answer is yes.
As the night unfolded, we used direct flash to illuminate the couple against the elegant night sky. The dramatic lighting added a touch of cinematic flair to each shot, highlighting the couple’s chemistry and creating timeless, contemporary images. If you’re considering a nighttime shoot with direct flash to capture your love story, take a cue from this dynamic duo!
One of the highlights of the evening was the undeniable sense of joy and spontaneity between Anna and Eric. Their laughter echoed through the night, and it was clear that this engagement session wasn’t just about capturing static poses—it was about genuine moments and connection. As wedding photographers, it’s moments like these that remind us why we love what we do—to freeze time and create memories that last a lifetime. Congratulations to Anna and Eric on their engagement. May their journey be as bright and beautiful as the images we captured on this magical night.
