Effe and Chris are the type of kind-hearted people that anyone can get along with. We instantly felt a connection with them. Their laid back and fun persona made it super easy to capture the emotional candid moments of the day. The best way to guarantee that you are going to receive images that you love from your day is to be completely authentic in front of the camera. It’s okay to feel camera shy but if you lean into the moment with your partner, you will see just how fast those butterflies fade away. That is when the magic happens.

The intimate church ceremony combined with the after party was a formula for perfection. Effe’s wedding dress with the contrast of the beautiful colors in the church was jaw-dropping. After the ceremony, we loved the way their family and friends made them feel like superstars as they exited the church. Later in the evening, they were showered with love (and some benjamins) on the dance floor. After all, this was our first time capturing a Greek celebration, and it blew us away.

Greek tradition

One of our favorite elements of their wedding day was the special traditions they kept to as a Greek family. They weaved Greek culture into every part of their day. From food to dance, and religious customs, they had set a priority to embrace and celebrate the meaning of their culture. The priest placed a crown on Effe’s head and then Chris’s. After, the crowns are intertwined three times to symbolize the union between them. They also incorporated the wedding dollar dance. Effe and Chris danced in the middle of the room and their family and friends rewarded them by throwing out bills. We loved experiencing culture and being involved with so much beauty.

Love and friendship is one thing we don’t take for granted. The best things in life are free.
