Richie looks like a super tough guy but it turns out that he’s just a big ole teddy bear. Jaclyn is sweet but mighty and her personality packs a punch. They soften each other and lift each other up. These two complement one another in the best way. Their wedding day was a dream, and we were happy to play our part in capturing it all. Pocono Palms was a perfect fit for Jaclyn and Richie: contemporary and modern with an elegant touch.

They chose to read their vows in private. This intimate moment was full of emotion and tender heartedness. If you want to do personal vows but skip out on the extra attention during the ceremony, this is a perfect compromise. Jaclyn and Richie spoke so highly of one another and poured their hearts out during their personal vows. It can be hard to choose our overall favorite moment from a wedding day, but private vows are pretty high up on the list for us. Kristen mentioned this was by far her favorite moment to capture from their day. Richie proclaimed to Jaclyn that love is hard, but “you just have to pick who you want to struggle with, and you’re the person I want to struggle with.”

They fell hard and fast. Every moment was spent intentionally. At the end of the day we don’t want to simply be your photographer, but also your friend. And if it’s done right, that’s exactly what happens.

Kristen went on to become Jaclyn’s doula. Not only did she capture their wedding day but the birth of their first born child – Calvin. The connection and relationships that are built with our couples are irreplaceable. Pocono Palms was just the beginning of our adventure together. We are so thankful for the opportunity to connect with couples like you and build long-lasting friendships in the process.
